Postdoctoral Position in Dark Matter Theory

The Institute for Gravitation and the Cosmos’ Center for Theoretical and Observational Cosmology is seeking to fill one or more Postdoctoral Scholar positions in dark matter physics. The successful candidate will work with Professors Sarah Shandera, Donghui Jeong, and Chad Hanna and will focus on theory, phenomenology, and/or observational signatures of dark matter. We are particularly interested in studying halo and compact object formation in dissipative dark matter models, and in gravitational wave signatures from compact objects in binary mergers.

A Ph.D. in physics or astronomy is required. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of re-funding on a yearly basis for up to three years. The appointment will start in fall 2020. The exact starting date can be flexible.
